Tammy Lefever is an experienced Interior Designer and the owner of Interior Motives, a full service Interior Design Center and furniture store located in Tigard, Oregon. Tammy began providing Interior Design services in 1987. She specializes in new construction, residential and light commercial design.
Tammy attended Oregon State University and Bournmouth College of the Arts in Bournmouth, England. She taught floral design at Portland Community College and owned a custom floral and accessory company from 1981 to 1987. Her interest in Christmas and Holiday design enabled her to work on many commercial projects including the Benson Hotel and its several restaurants. She is a member of the N.W. Society of Interior Designers, an affiliate of the American Institute of Interior Design, a member of the National Home Furnishings Association and a member of the North West Home Furnishings Association.
Tammy has designed several award-winning homes for the Street of Dreams and Designer Showcase. She was chosen to design and work with the public to create the “Oregonian Reader’s Dream Home” in conjunction with the Oregonian Newspaper. Her work has been published in N.W. Magazine, Better Homes and numerous times in local newspapers and on television. She was also selected as the Interior Designer Representative from Oregon to judge the “Homer Awards” in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tammy hand selects each product offered at Interior Motives. Every year, she goes on several buying trips throughout the United States and Asia, giving her the opportunity to see many new products and attend a variety of seminars offering continuing professional education. Interior Motives has won several awards including the 13th Annual Arts Award for the best west home accents, specialty store and design studio, awarded in Dallas, Texas.
Tammy excels in window treatment design, accessories and new construction.
Her design applications range from dramatic traditional to soft contemporary all with an air of casual sophistication and an appreciation for all design challenges and attitudes. She also designs products overseas for large companies in the USA, Europe and Asia. Through her distributor in the USA, her products have been offered through the trade names “Kathy Ireland”, “Jaclyn Smith” and “PGA Tour. Tammy maintains a showroom in China to display and offer her product designs internationally. Recently she has begun providing Interior Design services in China to meet the growing demand in China for the American look.
